WRITING EXERCISE 1

Write a short description of these landmarks:

• Name of the landmark.
• Location (region and country).
• Date of construction.
• Three interesting facts.

EXAMPLE

Windsor Castle.

Berkshire, England.

It was built in 1100.

The British royalty lives here. 

The Kings of England are buried here.

It resisted a siege of two months at war in 1200.

WRITING EXERCISE 2

You have one day to visit New York. Let’s plan your itinerary for that day!  

Choose five landmarks of the city and write the activities you are going to do at those sights.
